The Parthenon’s Tennessee Triennial: RE-PAIR exhibition kicks off with a free gallery opening on Thursday, Jan. 26, from 6-8 p.m. CST. The exhibit, feat. Houston Cofield, Desmond Lewis, and Lakesha Moore, runs from Jan. 27 through May 7 as part of Tri-Star Arts’ statewide contemporary art event.
“As Nashville’s oldest museum, the Parthenon continues to embody the city’s ideal as an arts and cultural center, and we are honored to participate in this important exhibition,” says the Parthenon’s curator Jennifer Richardson. “Elevating the voices of local artists, celebrating Tennessee’s cultural heritage, and amplifying thought-provoking perspectives on universal issues is at the heart of what our museum does, so the Tennessee Triennial is a perfect match for the Parthenon.”
